Bratislava… Better by day. But still empty

We snuffled up a pretty good breakfast at our hotel Friday morning and took off for a trip around Bratislava, it’s better by day but still quiet, we went to the presidential palace which had an open day and watched the changing of the guard, we then found a restaurant bar that brewed it’s own beer which was good, however it did leave our legs heavy, we then walked to the castle and looked around the grounds, the ‘original ruins’ are rubbish, just a replica of what was there made in new blocks.
Walking back from the castle we had traditional meals in a restaurant, we both had deer,’i had fallow deer and Phil had goulash, both very similar and very rich in flavour, rhe restaurant had these awesome little cave parts to eat in, was a little creepy actually. There was also a parrot, that was going mental immitating everything and squawking hello and ciao!
Calming walk over river to the other train station and on a very quiet train to parndorf where we changed for nickelsdorf and the festival.
Still so quiet! We dove into a bar for a beer, bit expensive but nethermind, still cheaper than UK we’re gonna do some
more walking to the festival ground itself rather than bus or taxi nice day and legs are still pumped from the 6 hours of walk earlier :) may as well have a laugh
